Privacy policy
We build small, focused apps for people who fish, hunt, boat and get outside. They work without accounts, and we collect as little as we can. This page says exactly what that means.
Effective September 11, 2026 · Verona Solutions, LLC
Four things worth knowing
Our outdoor apps never ask you to sign up. We do not know who you are, and we have no database of users to lose. TrailCam Intel is the one exception, described below.
Apps that show nearby buoys, tides, rivers or places use your location to pick the nearest stations. We never receive it, store it or sell it.
Free apps show ads through Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising identifier. You can limit that in your phone's settings, and the apps keep working.
Questions about your data go to a real mailbox read by the developer. Ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, and we will.

Our apps
This section covers every Verona Solutions app on the App Store and Google Play: NOAA Buoy & Tide Data, NOAA Buoy & Tides Tracker, USA Tides, USGS River Levels & Flows, Best Times: Hunt & Fish, FL Saltwater Fishing Regs, IDMyFish, DeadOn, What's This Place, and our older regional fishing apps. TrailCam Intel has an account and is covered separately below.
What we collect ourselves
Nothing. These apps have no sign-up, no login and no server of ours behind them. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos or any identifier. If you email us for support, we keep that conversation so we can answer it; that is the only personal information we hold about app users.
Location
Apps that show data near you ask for location permission. They use your position on the device to find the closest buoys, tide stations, river gauges, or the place you are standing, and then request that data from the public service that publishes it: NOAA for buoys and tides, USGS for rivers, Wikipedia for What's This Place. That request may include the coordinates or the station being looked up, and is handled under that service's own policy. Your location is never sent to Verona Solutions.
You can deny location permission and the apps still work; you pick stations manually instead. What's This Place asks for location in the background so it can notify you when you arrive somewhere new; you can grant "while using" only, and it will simply not notify you.
Advertising
Our free apps show ads served by Google AdMob. The AdMob software in the app may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device model and operating system, general location inferred from your IP address, and information about how ads are shown and tapped. Google uses this to serve and measure ads and, where you allow it, to personalize them. It is described in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
You control this at the operating-system level:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track", or decline the prompt an app shows. Ads become non-personalized.
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads (or Privacy → Ads). Delete or reset your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization.
DeadOn is a paid app and shows no ads at all.
Purchases
Paid apps and any in-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google. They handle your payment details and send us only aggregate sales figures. We never see your card, your billing address or your store account.
Analytics and crash reports
We do not build third-party analytics or crash-reporting kits into our apps. Apple and Google offer us aggregated, anonymous crash and usage statistics that you can opt into or out of in your device's settings ("Share With App Developers" on iOS, "Usage & diagnostics" on Android).
Data stored on your device
Favorite stations, saved locations, range cards, settings and the like are stored locally in the app. Deleting the app deletes them.
TrailCam Intel
TrailCam Intel is the mobile companion to our trail-camera platform at gamecameradata.com. Because it connects to your account there, it is the one app where we do hold information about you.
Your account
Sign-in is handled by Amazon Cognito. We store your email address and a hashed password (we cannot read your password). If you ask for access through the app's request form, we receive the name, email address and message you type, and use them only to reply and set up your account.
Trail-camera photos and analysis
Photos, tags, property boundaries and the analysis built on them live in your gamecameradata.com account and are governed by that platform's terms. The app displays them; it does not upload photos itself.
Sharing your position with your hunting party
The app has an optional feature that shows members of a property where each other are while hunting. If you turn it on:
- The app watches the boundaries of your properties. Only when you are inside one of them does it send your position, about once a minute, to gamecameradata.com.
- Your position is visible only to other members of that same property.
- When you leave the property, or turn the feature off, your position is deleted from the server. We keep no history of where you were.
This requires background location permission on your phone. Nothing is sent when the feature is off, and it is off by default.
Advertising
The Android version shows a light load of AdMob ads; everything in the Advertising section above applies.
Deleting your account
Email support@veronasolutions.net from the address on the account and we will delete it, along with the data attached to it, within 30 days.
This website
veronasolutions.net is a set of static pages. There are no accounts, no comment forms, no newsletter and no tracking scripts. We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics service, and we set no cookies of our own.
Two things do happen when you load a page:
- Our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure) keeps ordinary web-server logs of requests, including IP addresses, for a limited time, for security and to keep the site running.
- Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google's servers see the request for the font files, including your IP address, under Google's Privacy Policy.
If you email us, we keep the message in our mailbox so we can reply and refer back to it.
Our internal dashboard and Google data
Verona Solutions runs a private reporting dashboard at veronasolutions.net/dashboard. It is used only by Verona Solutions staff, behind a login, and is not available to app users or the public.
To show how our apps are doing, the dashboard connects to Google services through Google Sign-In, using read-only permissions:
- the AdMob API (
admob.readonly), to retrieve our own advertising reports: earnings, impressions and related figures per app and day; - Google Cloud Storage (
devstorage.read_only), to read the statistics exports that Google Play Console publishes for our own apps.
This is Verona Solutions' own business data about our own apps. It contains no information about individual users. It is stored in a private database used only to run our business, and it is never shared, sold or used for advertising. The Google sign-in credential the dashboard holds belongs to a Verona Solutions account and can be revoked at any time from that account's Google permissions page.
Verona Solutions' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Children
Our apps and website are for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
- Location: grant, limit or revoke permission at any time in your phone's settings. The apps keep working.
- Ads: limit personalization or reset your advertising identifier as described under Advertising.
- Your data: you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. For nearly everyone the honest answer is "only the emails you sent us"; for TrailCam Intel users, it is your account. Either way, email us and we will act within 30 days.
- We do not sell personal information and never have, in the sense of any privacy law, including California's.
Wherever you live, these choices are open to you. If your local law gives you further rights, such as those under the GDPR or the CCPA, you can exercise them through the same address below.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. For a change that matters, such as collecting something new, we will also say so in the app's release notes. Older versions are available on request.
